XPlanner on Rails Download

As I described in a previous post, I created a very experimental version of XPlanner using Ruby on Rails. A few people have expressed interest in the code so it’s available for download. Remember, this was created about a year ago with an older version of Rails (0.10 or 0.11, if I remember correctly). I might be a good idea for somebody to create a RubyForge project for this code, but I personally don’t have time to manage (I might contribute, though).

Has anyone expressed interest in moving the XPlanner Rails project to RubyForge? If not, I may be interested.

    Hi Joshua,

A few people have expressed interest in working on it, but no one has followed through yet (AFAIK). Keep in mind that the prototype uses an somewhat old version of Rails. However, I was only using core features of Rails so I doubt it would difficult to upgrade it to the latest version of the framework.

    Hi,

    Any progress on this?

    I like xplanner, isn’t getting a release since 2006.

    Thanks,

I don’t manage or work on the Java implementation of XPlanner any more. Jacques Morels is the project lead now.

As always, if someone wants to continue development on an XPlanner on Rails, I’m willing to support that effort. However, I have other projects that are currently using most of my spare time.
